About the event

In these classes you will learn foundation from various styles. Mainly dancehall, hip-hop, & afrobeats. King Kayak will help you to learn how to control your body and move through any space. The classes can go from very smooth to super high energy because King believes that everyone interested in dance should be able to find that balance and be able to dance to any kind of music and to actually feel the movement. Feeling is the most important thing in this class because if you feel your movement then its much easier for you to apply the right intention to our human qualities needed to fully express ourselves through dance!

There is no other like King Kayak. His passion for teaching and helping others grow in dance is amazing. He ensures that while you learn a bit of history and foundation in whatever he is teaching, you get a chance to challenge yourself and tap in and grow as a movement artist. Whether your goal is to become a professional, enhance your skills or you do it for fun, there is equal space for everyone to enjoy and leave class learning something new. Kayak’s classes can either be super high energy , fun with a bit of a challenge to saucy and groovy to soft and patient : An entire experience. Class gives you a chance to get into the mind of King Kayak and get into the many layers of dance and music. You will leave with his class feeling inspired to unlock your true potential.
