Wendell Bullen, known as King Kayak, is a creative force hailing from Carriacou, Grenada. From his roots in the West Indies to the vibrant streets of New York City, Wendell's journey embodies versatility as an artist, dancer/choreographer, singer/songwriter and entrepreneur.
His love for dance ignited early, leading him to master various styles like Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, and more in prestigious institutions like Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. Wendell's talent garnered attention, landing him performances at charity events hosted by luminaries such as Danny Glover and Dr. Oz.
Beyond live performances, Wendell's magnetic presence transcends screens, appearing in music videos alongside icons like Janet Jackson and in TV shows like "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." His versatility extends to acting, showcased in off-Broadway plays and festivals like the New York Musical Festival.
Wendell's impact extends globally, having taught dance workshops in 17 countries and performed in 14. He shares his passion for street and cultural dance styles, including hip-hop, dancehall, and African street dance, with students of all ages worldwide.
Among his many achievements stands the honor of performing for Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton during their NYC visit. Since 2014, Wendell dedicates himself to mentoring young dancers, offering weekly classes in NYC and even free sessions back home in Carriacou, Grenada.
